Webinar - Advanced Use of Copernicus Browser

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Learn more about advanced visualization and data analysis in Copernicus Browser. In this hands-on webinar, held on 8 April 2025, Andras Zlinszky, presented different ways to view multi-temporal data, how to compare layers, create and export timelapses and time series charts, and create mosaics from images. Learn how to share the scenes you create by creating pins and adding them to the Display Wall, how to generate direct URL links or share them directly to social media with the click of a button. Finally, Andras explained how to understand the visualization and analysis scripts that run the browser by loading code from a repository and modifying parameters. By following this session, you can perform the exercises on your own computer. No software installation is required, but please register with the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem beforehand (https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/). 0:00 Introduction 0:34 The course builds on the basic knowledge of Copernicus Browser as shared in this introductory video - https://youtu.be/F0lIn5r6ZWk?feature=shared - if you are not yet familiar with Copernicus Browser, please watch it before the webinar. 1:06 Agenda 1:53 Configurations and theme specific Evalscripts Monitoring Earth from Space true color Keukenhof, Lisse, Netherlands: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/jnrk Agriculture - Agriculture evalscript: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/pae1 3:49 Pins How to create a pin: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/bva0 5:21 Display Wall: https://display-wall.dataspace.copernicus.eu/ 6:38 Compare images Simple change in time - Monte Sarmiento Chile 2024: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/i5ia and in 2016 https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/unrb Compare https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/0umw 8:43 Share links 10:09 Advanced options for adjusting the image 11:02 Analysis: creating area of interest (AOI) and upload/download AOI Find free AOI geoJson https://simplemaps.com/gis/country/de Add to most recent OTCI chlorophyll image https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/d321 How to ceate histogram, create time series and export CSV 14:09 Generating a timelapse Frampton marsh: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/1cso 18:09 Settings for the 3D view Mt Whitney USA: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/ur1w East Wall of the High Sierra in 3D: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/186o Better to use the Sentinel-2 quarterly mosaic: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/0gyr And in 3D: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/z5wx 24:38 Working with custom scripts Starting point - city of Hamburg, true color: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/l5wn You can experiment with the drag-and-drop composite generator: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/xh59 And check how this works with the visualization script Load a custom script from the repository, e.g. Magic Eyes: https://link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/x3dg + https://custom-scripts.sentinel-hub.com/custom-scripts/sentinel-2/magic_eyes/ Work with data fusion scripts: https://tinyurl.com/valenciaflood https://custom-scripts.sentinel-hub.com/data-fusion/s1_flooding_visualisation/ 31:51 Q&A 41:00 Conclusion Useful links: Copernicus Browser ➡️ https://browser.dataspace.copernicus.eu/ CDSE Forum ➡️ https://forum.dataspace.copernicus.eu/ Gallery ➡️ https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/gallery Newsletter ➡️ https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/subscribe
