আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের নজিরবিহীন দুর্নীতি ও স্বজনপ্রীতির ঘটনা নথিভুক্ত হওয়া উচিৎ এবং তার গবেষণার বিষয়বস্তু হতে পারে। ওয়ার্ল্ড ইকোনমিক ফোরাম সম্মেলনে একটি সংলাপে এ মন্তব্য করেছেন প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহম্মদ ইউনূস। বলেন, জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানের সবচেয়ে বড় বৈশিষ্ট্য ছিল সমাজের সামগ্রিক পরিবর্তন। জানান, বাংলাদেশের জনগণ স্বল্পমেয়াদী সংস্কার চাইলে নির্বাচন হবে এ বছরের শেষে। আর দীর্ঘমেয়াদী সংস্কার চাইলে নির্বাচন হবে আরো ছয় মাস পর।

And if they want long-term reforms, the elections will be held after another six months.
