গোপীনাথ কবিরাজ, মহামহোপাধ্যায় (১৮৮৭-১৯৭৬) সংস্কৃত পন্ডিত, দার্শনিক। ১৮৮৭ সালের ৭ সেপ্টেম্বর ঢাকার ধামরাই গ্রামে তিনি জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর পৈতৃক নিবাস ছিল টাঙ্গাইল জেলায়। পিতা বৈকুণ্ঠনাথ ছিলেন দর্শনশাস্ত্রে পন্ডিত এবং প্রখ্যাত দার্শনিক ব্রজেন্দ্রনাথ শীলের সহপাঠী। গোপীনাথের জন্মের কয়েক মাস আগেই তাঁর পিতার মৃত্যু হয়। তাঁদের কুলগত উপাধি ছিল ‘বাগচী’, ‘কবিরাজ’ উপাধি নবাবি আমলে প্রাপ্ত। ****************************************************************** Gopinath Kaviraj was an Indian Sanskrit scholar, Indologist and philosopher.
