Миндаль. Как его выращивают и собирают.
Ближайший родственник сливы – миндаль ценен не мякотью плодов, а скрывающимся внутри косточки ядром – сокровищницей питательных веществ и микроэлементов. В пору цветения миндальное дерево становится настоящим украшением участка, наполняя воздух пьянящим ароматом.
Ошибочно причисляемый обывателями к орехам, миндаль принадлежит к косточковым растениям рода слива. В зависимости от сорта (а их более 40) он может иметь вид как дерева, так и кустарника.
Нетребователен к почвам, но лучше всего чувствует себя на легких и плодородных грунтах. В местах же заболоченных и закисленных растет плохо. Теплолюбивое дерево миндального ореха активно растет и плодоносит в регионах с мягкими зимами: в Крыму, на Кавказе, в Средиземноморье, Средней Азии, США. В регионах с мягким климатом цветение миндаля можно наблюдать с января по март. В южных регионах России бутоны на нем начинают распускаться в апреле.
Первый урожай миндальное дерево приносит на 4-5 год после посадки. Способность к плодоношению сохраняется до 50 лет, достигая максимума в 15-20 летнем возрасте.
