Pope Francis has selected an anti-Trump cardinal to become the Archbishop of Washington DC.
Cardinal Robert McElroy was an open critic of Donald Trump during his first administration.
Sky News contributor Louise Roberts slammed the cardinal, asserting that as a prominent religious leader, he is expected to be a "unifying force" for his community rather than a divisive figure.
“To people going to church, they want their cardinals or their priests to be preaching the values of Christianity and living together in harmony not singling out the next President of the United States,” Ms Roberts said.
