In this video, we will cook cast iron using special electrodes with a nickel rod. To be honest, I myself did not expect that the welding process would be so easy. The electrode burns softly, the arc is stable and the cast iron is welded like normal ferrous metal. It's amazing what new technology is capable of. We used to cook cast iron with an ordinary rutile electrode, having previously wrapped it with a thin copper wire.
But there is one major drawback. This is the price. A pack of three electrodes costs about $ 12. Therefore, it is necessary to first assess the profitability of such welding.
