මේ භාෂා 7000 අතරින් ලංකාවේ භාවිතා වන සිංහල භාෂාවට ලොකු විශේෂත්වයක් හම්බෙනවා. ඒවා අතරත් සමහර තොරතුරු අද වෙද්දිත් හම්බෙනවා සමහර විට සිංහල කියන්නේ ලෝකයේ මුල්ම භාෂාවල් වලින් එකක් කියලා.
