粤剧《梦断香销四十年》
时值南宋，中原遭胡虏洗劫之时，诗人陆游与表妹唐琬成亲之后，陆母认为唐琬命里克夫，迫令他们分开。 二人纵然相爱，却被迫忍痛分离。 陆游后来另娶王氏，唐琬也改嫁赵士程。 三年后，二人于沈园相遇，两人百般滋味，忧郁悲痛直涌心头，更感无限唏嘘与感伤。 陆游于壁上题了一首《釵头凤》。不久之后，唐琬亦郁郁而终 。
四十年后，陆游重游故地，看到当年题写《钕头凤》的半边破壁，想起佳人已离世，涙落沾襟，无限唏嘘 。
Cantonese opera “40 years of Cherished Love”
Southern Song Dynasty Poet Lu You married his cousin Tang Wan at the time when the Huns invaded the country’s border. His mother blames Tang for her infertility and for bringing bad luck to the family, she wants Tang to be sent to the nunnery. The couple is not able to fight this forced separation. After the divorce, Lu is arranged to marry Wang Chuner and Tang to Zhao Shicheng. Three years later, Lu has a chance encounter with Tang and Zhao at the Shen Garden. Mixed feelings well up in their hearts. On a wall, Lu writes a poem titled "Phoenix Hairpin" to express his grief and to commemorate this encounter. Shortly after that encounter, Tang dies of despair. Forty years on, Lu revisits the Shen Garden and weeps over the poem, reminiscing his beloved cousin.
