ගිරිහඬු සෑය - තිරියාය
ත්‍රිකුණාමල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ තිරියාය නම් පුදබිමේ පිහිටා තිබෙන ගිරිහඬු සෑය බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ ජීවමානව සිටි කාලය තුළ තපස්සු භල්ලුක වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන් විසින් ඉදිකරවූ බව සඳහන්. බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේගේ බුද්ධත්වයෙන් දින 50ක් ගත වුණු පසු (සත්සතිය අවසන් වූ පසු), තපස්සු-භල්ලුක වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන් විසින් පිළිගන්වන ලද විළඳ සහ මී පැණි ප්‍රථම දානය ලෙස පිළිගැනීම නිසා සතුටට පත්වුණු වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන් වැඳුම් පිඳුම් කිරීම සඳහා යම් දෙයක් ඉල්ලා සිටි අවස්ථාවේ බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ සිය හිස පිරිමැද කේශ ධාතූන් ලබාදුන් බව එහි වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් වනවා. එම කේශ ධාතූන් සහිත මංජුසාව රැගෙන වෙළඳාමට යන අතරතුර වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන් ලංකාවට ගොඩබැස තිබෙනවා. ඔවුන් දෙපළ පැමිණ තිබුණේ ත්‍රිකුණාමලයේ කුච්ඡවේලිය අසල ගල්වරාය නම් ප්‍රදේශයට යි. ඉන් අනතුරුව යාං ඔය ඔස්සේ ගිරිකණ්ඩ පර්වතයට පැමිණි වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන්, සුරක්ෂිත ස්ථානයක කේශ ධාතූන් සහිත මංජුසාව තබා, එතැන සිට ආහාරගත් බව සඳහන් වනවා. ආහාර ගැනීමෙන් පසුව පිටත්ව යාමට සැරසී කේශ ධාතූන් සහිත මංජුසාව තබා තිබූ තැනින් රැගෙන යාමට උත්සාහ කළත් ඒවා සෙලවීමට හැකිවී නැහැ. එම ස්ථානයේ යම් ආශ්චර්යයක් තිබෙන බව තේරුම්ගත් වෙළඳ දෙබෑයන් කේශ ධාතු එහිම නිධන් කොට ගිරිහඬු සෑය ඉදිකළ බව සඳහන්.

Girihadau Seya - Thiriyaya
It is said that the Girihadu Seya, which is located in the holy place called Thiriyaya in Trincomalee district, was built by Tapassu Bhalluka traders during the lifetime of Lord Buddha. After 50 days of the Lord Buddha's enlightenment (after the end of the satsatya), the Lord Buddha rubbed his head when the merchants, who were delighted to accept as their first alms the molasses and honey offered by the Tapasu-Bhalluka merchants, asked for something in worship. It further states that hair relics were given. The traders have landed in Sri Lanka while carrying the Manjusa with the hair relics on their way to trade. Both of them had come to an area called Galvaraya near Kuchchiveli in Trincomalee. After that, the traders who came to Girikanda Rock along Yang Oya, kept the manjusa with hair relics in a safe place and ate from there. After eating, They dressed to leave and tried to take the manjusa with the hair relics from where they were kept, but could not move them. It is said that the traders, realizing that there is a miracle in that place, built the Girihadau Saya by hoarding the relics there.
