সুমিতা দেবী (1936 - 2004) একজন বাংলা চলচ্চিত্র এবং টিভি অভিনেত্রী। তিনি পূর্ববঙ্গের (বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশে) মানিকগঞ্জ জেলায় হেনা ভট্টাচার্যের জন্মগ্রহণ করেন।
সুমিতা 1950-এর দশকের শেষের দিকে এবং 1960-এর দশকের শুরুতে একজন চলচ্চিত্র অভিনেত্রী হিসেবে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছিলেন। তিনি 1957 সালের আসিয়া চলচ্চিত্রে বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রে আত্মপ্রকাশ করেন। তার পরবর্তী ছবি ছিল আকাশ আর মাটি (1960)। দুটিই পরিচালনা করেছেন ফতেহ লোহানী। আসিয়া শ্রেষ্ঠ বাংলা চলচ্চিত্র হিসেবে রাষ্ট্রপতি পুরস্কার লাভ করে এবং আসিয়ার নাম-ভূমিকায় সুমিতার অভিনয় বাংলাদেশের চলচ্চিত্র ইতিহাসে অসাধারণ এবং স্মরণীয় হয়ে ওঠে।
Sumita Devi (1936 – 2004) was a Bengali film and TV actress. He was born Hena Bhattacharya in Manikganj district of East Bengal (now in Bangladesh).
Sumita rose to fame as a film actress in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
did He made his Bengali film debut in the 1957 film Asia. His next film was Aakash Aar Mati (1960). Both were directed by Fateh Lohani.
सुमिता देवी (1936 - 2004) एक बंगाली फिल्म और टीवी अभिनेत्री थीं। उनका जन्म पूर्वी बंगाल (अब बांग्लादेश में) के मानिकगंज जिले में हेना भट्टाचार्य के रूप में हुआ था।
सुमिता 1950 के दशक के अंत और 1960 के दशक की शुरुआत में एक फिल्म अभिनेत्री के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हुईं।
उन्होंने 1957 में फिल्म एशिया से बंगाली फिल्म में डेब्यू किया था। उनकी अगली फिल्म आकाश आर माटी (1960) थी। दोनों का निर्देशन फ़तेह लोहानी ने किया था।
