अपरिचित इतिहास - भाग २७ - औरंगजेबाची किल्ले मोहीम आणि मराठ्यांचा तिखट प्रतिकार

१६८९ मध्ये छत्रपती संभाजी महाराजांच्या हत्येनंतर संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्र भूमीवर परचक्र येणार अशी परिस्थिती झाली होती. १६८२ ते १७०७ स्वतः आलमगीर औरंगजेब महाराष्ट्र भूमी संपवण्यासाठी झटत होता. १६९९ ते १७०५ स्वतः किल्ले मोहिमा काढल्या. पण छत्रपती संभाजी महाराजांच्या बलिदानाने पेटून उठलेल्या मराठ्यांनी या औरंजेबाचे मनसुबे उधळून लावले. तब्बल २५ वर्षे त्याला कठोर प्रतिकार केला. हेच मराठ्यांचे स्वातंत्र्यसमर. हट्टाने सुरु केलेल्या या मोहिमेचा अंत औरंगजेबाच्या मृत्यूने झाला.
