Sometimes there are legends about modesty in the everyday life of the top communist leaders of the socialist era. But at the same time, luxury state houses, villas and other attributes of luxurious life remain from that era.
The leader of the SFRY, Josip Broz Tito, was famous for his love of truly royal luxury. He often went on trips around Yugoslavia and on foreign trips by rail. For such visits, Tito used a high-class train. And, as historians note, in its luxury this train was superior to all known trains of world leaders at that time.
I had the opportunity to visit this train, which is now in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, as a museum exhibition, and examine the personal carriage of Marshal Tito and his wife, Jovanka Broz, as well as other carriages of this legendary train.
