Iran has positioned and entrusted them with ruling a country whose fate, if turned against them, could shift the entire balance of the Middle East—specifically, the equation of West Asia. For this reason, Iran sabotaged the region through the Samarra bombings, the assassination of Hariri, Hamas’s coup, and the July War in Lebanon. Nevertheless, the entirety of West Asia, alongside Trump, is now confronting Iran in Iraq. As an American diplomat recently stated, this approach resembles "chemical treatment," echoing a report from Asharq Al-Awsat yesterday. In his conversation with the newspaper, the diplomat compared the sanctions to "intensive, successive doses of chemotherapy administered to a body afflicted with cancerous tumors," adding, "The treatment may take time, and we hope the condition is not in an advanced stage." The diplomat further explained that "the security and financial institutions within the U.S. administration are pursuing an extensive list of measures, whose beginning is clear but whose end remains uncertain."
