Projection mapping with the theme of "Ukiyo-e" will be held in Marunouchi and Yurakucho!
The Marunouchi area once flourished as the castle town of Edo Castle and still shines as a center of culture and economy. Maru Building and Yurakucho Itocia, located there, will be reborn as a stage for timeless art.
The magnificent ukiyo-e projection mapping to be performed in this location is an attempt to put the vitality and scenery of Edo captured in ukiyo-e into dialogue with the modern cityscape.
The huge wall surface is used as a canvas to create a spatial production that highlights the vivid colors and beautiful composition of the ukiyo-e. At Maru Building, there will be an exhibition called "Six Great Artists Collaborating," focusing on the people who painted ukiyo-e, while at Yurakucho ITOCIA, there will be an exhibition called "The Flowers, Birds, Wind, and Moon of Edo," themed on nature depicted in ukiyo-e.
