We, a couple in our fifties have lived in the countryside on the outskirts of Kirishima Volcanic Mountains in Kagoshima, Japan for 8 years.
We renovated an aged typical Japanese style house and opened a bakery café.
We enjoyed baking and selling sour dough bread baked in a wood oven.
In 2024, we sold everything and moved to Portugal with our 2 cats with hopes to immigrate and build a life there.
However, we faced political complications, and had to move back to Japan.
Our next journey will start here in Tanegashima, where surf is good and climate is warm.
We plan to clear an untouched land and build our own tiny house, live off grid with rain water and solar energy.
