Pungnammun Gate is Korea's National Treasure
No. 308. It is the southern entrance gate of the fortress surrounding Jeonju, and is currently the only remaining gate.

Jeondong Cathedral was built from 1907 to 1914
and is a cradle of faith that preserves the site of martyrdom. It is said that the cornerstone of the cathedral was built with stones removed from the wall of Pungnammun Gate,
the place of execution. The beauty and grandeur of Honam's first Romanesque and Byzantine styles that maximize
the curves makes it one of the best cathedral buildings
in the East.

Gyeonggijeon is a building built in the 10th year of King Taejong's reign (1410) to enshrine King Taejo's portrait
upon the founding of Joseon. The place where
King Taejo's portrait was enshrined was called Eoyongjeon, Taejojinjeon, etc., and was renamed Gyeonggijeon in 1442 (the 24th year of King Sejong's reign). Afterwards, Gyeonggijeon was destroyed during the Jeongyujaeran (1597), the 30th year of King Seonjo's reign,
and was rebuilt in November of the 6th year of King Gwanghaegun's reign (1614). Gyeonggijeon is a place
that attracts attention as a filming location for historical dramas and movies due to its beautiful surrounding scenery.

Jeonju Hanok Village is the largest traditional Hanok village in Korea with over 700 Hanok houses in the Pungnam-dong area of ​​Jeonju, and is the only urban Hanok village in the country. It is an important space in the development of Korea's modern residential culture that began in 1910.
It is scattered with important cultural assets such as Gyeonggijeon, Omokdae, and Hyanggyo, as well as
about 20 cultural facilities, and is home to Korean styles
such as Hanok, Korean food, Hanji, Hansori, Hanbok, and Oriental medicine. This is a collection of representative
travel destinations in Korea.
