I'm right on the Powhatan Creek trail, and I absolutely love it. Being on the trails was a huge factor in deciding where I wanted to live when we moved to Williamsburg. In fact, it was probably the biggest factor of them all. I love all of Williamsburg, but I knew when I first helped a client buy right on the trails about 7 years ago that this was where I wanted to be. And if you watched this whole video, I bet you'd like to be nearby as well. In this video we'll do a deep dive into the Capital Trail, and the adjoining Powhatan Creek and Greensprings Interpretive Trails. You may know the 51 mile long bike trail, known as the Capital Trail, which runs from Jamestown to Richmond, VA. This is one of the longest dedicated bike paths on the east coast and is wonderful for anyone from competitive cyclists to e-bikers, to families with little kids. The Powhatan Creek and Greensprings Trails connect to the Capital Trail and weave between the neighborhoods and even connect to the local elementary school, Clara Byrd Baker, and Jamestown High. The trail system helps foster a sense of community among the whole region and provides a safe and beautiful place for runners, dog walkers, bikers, and kids to go visit their friends. It may also give the kids access to a bunch of streams to go play in the mud - so bring your rain boots! We'll also do a quick tour of every neighborhood that has direct access to the trail system, from a simple townhouse in Jamestown 1607 to the exclusive luxury neighborhood of Governors Land, you'll find a variety of housing throughout the region, covering a wide range of price points. So no matter what you're looking for, you should be able to find something you love here in Jamestown. 00:00 Introduction 02:55 Capital Trail 06:38 Powhatan Creek Trail 09:53 Greensprings Trails 11:49 Wildlife 16:05 Billsburg Brewery + Spoke & Art 18:50 Mason Park 20:38 Landfall 22:16 Jamestown 1607 24:02 Foxfield 24:59 The Pointe at Jamestown 26:52 Chancos Grant 28:54 Saint Georges Hundred 30:53 Jamestown Hundred 32:45 Drummons Field 34:17 Fernbrook 35:26 First Colony 38:07 Berkeleys Green 40:13 Deer Run 41:05 Fieldcrest 42:25 Fairway Villas 43:46 Governors land 47:57 Outro
