সব গণপরিবহনে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অর্ধেক ভাড়া প্রচলন করতে জাতীয় সংসদে আইন পাস করার দাবি জানিয়েছেন বিএনপির সাংসদ রুমিন ফারহানা। ২৭ নভেম্বর শনিবার জাতীয় সংসদে ‘মহাসড়ক বিল ২০২১’ পাসের আলোচনায় অংশ নিয়ে এ দাবি জানান তিনি। এদিকে সংসদ সদস্যদের ক্ষোভ ও সমালোচনার মুখে সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের সংসদে জানান, শিক্ষার্থীদের বাসের হাফ ভাড়ার বিষয় নিয়ে কাজ চলছে। বিআরটিসির বাসে শিক্ষার্থীদের অর্ধেক ভাড়া চূড়ান্ত করা হয়েছে। আলোচনার মাধ্যমে সমস্যা সমাধান করা হবে বলে তিনি ইঙ্গিত দেন।
