Inspired by the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, in Spain, the 300-kilometer Path of Faith begins in Águas da Prata, in the interior of São Paulo, and passes through 14 municipalities to the Shrine of the Patron of Brazil in Aparecida, SP. Annually, about 6 thousand pilgrims make the journey. Along the longest pilgrimage route in Brazil, on average, between 10 and 12 days of walking, there are 54 points of support, among inns, hotels and bars, organized in an association that also involves the public power and the Sanctuary of Aparecida. The documentary "Pelas windows of faith", produced in the year commemorating the 300th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady on the Paraíba do Sul River, tells stories of welcoming pilgrims to these places and reveals the motivations that led people to dedicate themselves to those who many also call it a mission of faith.
