कोई क्षेत्रीय दल यदि राष्ट्रीय मानसिकता अपना ले तो यह स्वागत योग्य परिवर्तन है। गठबंधन की राजनीति में यह कभी कभी देखने को निलता है। पर कोई राष्ट्रीय दल यदि राष्ट्रीय हितों पर पूरी तरह क्षेत्रीयता को वरीयता देने लगे तो चिंता होना स्वाभाविक है। कांग्रेस एक राष्ट्रीय दल है। पर उसकी समस्या यह है कि वह दिन पर दिन राष्ट्रीय कलेवर उतारकर क्षेत्रीय दलों की क़तार में खड़ी हो गई है। नतीजा यह हो रहा है कि वह जनता की नज़र में लगातार गिरती जा रही है। पर इससे चिंतित भी नहीं है।
