Instant Chutney Powder Recipe
Main Ingredients:
- 1 cup grated raw coconut
- 1 cup groundnuts
- 1/2 cup green chilies (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup roasted gram dal
Instructions:
1. Dry roast each of the four main ingredients one by one in a heavy-bottomed pan over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Let each ingredient cool to room temperature.
2. Grind each of these roasted ingredients separately into a powder, then set aside.
Talimpu/Tadka Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons black gram
- 2 tablespoons mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons cumin seeds
- 2 dry red chilies
- 2 strands of curry leaves

3. Using the same pan, dry roast the black gram, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies, and curry leaves together over low heat, stirring to prevent burning. Let cool to room temperature.
4. Add a small piece of tamarind, salt to taste, and a few garlic cloves (optional) to this mixture, then grind everything together.
5. Finally, combine the two powders to make your Instant Chutney Mix Powder.
Storage: Store in an airtight container. It stays fresh for up to 1 month in the refrigerator or up to 1 week at room temperature.
