However, to those without religious faith, this practice may seem strange or even incomprehensible.
Modern society often limits the concept of sin to legal wrongdoing—someone is only considered a sinner if convicted in a court of law. However, in Christian belief, sin is not merely about external actions but also about the inner straying of the heart and disobedience to God's will. According to the Bible, the essence of sin lies in failing to act according to God’s will, much like an archer missing the target.
Christians calling themselves sinners is not an expression of negativity or despair. Rather, faith helps them recognize their own shortcomings, leading them to rely more on God’s grace and mercy, ultimately guiding them toward the true path of life.
