करोड़ गाय दान करने पर भी क्यों मिला गिरगिट का जन्म ? garud Puran
राजा नृग की कहानी, प्राचीन भारतीय पौराणिक कथाओं में से एक है. यह कहानी भागवत पुराण में भी मिलती है. राजा नृग, इक्ष्वाकु के पुत्र थे और वे दानशील, धर्मात्मा, और सत्यवादी थे. एक बार उन्होंने तीर्थराज पुष्कर में जाकर एक करोड़ गौओं का दान किया था. इसी दौरान, उनकी गौओं के झुंड में एक दरिद्र ब्राह्मण की गाय भी आ गई. राजा नृग ने उस गाय को भी किसी ब्राह्मण को दान कर दिया.
