উচ্ছেদ হবে ৩০-৪০ হাজার মানুষ! বিষাক্ত হবে পরিবেশ। আদিবাসীরা ভয়ংকর ক্ষুব্ধ। কয়লা খনি কিছুতেই নয় ! সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন। কোলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাব দীর্ঘদিন থেকে দেউচা-পাচামীর আদিবাসীরা বুঝতে পারছিলেন যে কয়লা খনি নিয়ে তাদের প্রকৃত অবস্থান শহরের মানুষ এবং প্রশাসনের কাছে ঠিকমত পৌঁছচ্ছে না। মাঝখানে ষড়যন্ত্র করছে কিছু দালাল, এনজিও এবং ঠিকাদারেরা। তাই ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি মাতৃভাষা দিবসে নিজেদের কথা খুলে বালার জন্য সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় দেউচা-পচামী কয়লা খনি বিরোধী আন্দোলন কর্মীরা। এই সভার আয়োজন করেন দেউচা পাঁচমি গ্রামসভা সমন্বয় হুল কমিটি এবং প্রকৃতি বাঁচাও, আদিবাসী বাঁচাও মঞ্চ। কিন্তু সকাল থেকে আমরা শুনতে পাই যে এই সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনের অন্যতম সংগঠক লক্ষ্মীকান্ত হাসদাকে হরিপাল থানায় আটকে রাখা হয়েছে। এই ঘটনায় সংগঠকদের মধ্যে একটি বিভ্রান্তি তৈরি হয়। তারা হাইকোর্টের উকিলের পরামর্শ নিয়ে প্রায় ৪০মিনিট পরে সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন শুরু করেন। সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, রাজেন টুডু, দেউচা-পাচামির মহিলা কর্মীরা, সুপেন হেম্ব্রম, সুশীল মুরমু এবং মিলন মান্ডি। Legal Note:- VOICE OF BAHUJAN promotes the Fundamental Duty of Art. 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution. i,e.
