उस समय सब देवीया और देवता भगवान महादेव जी की शरण में गए थे महादेव जी ने नन्दी जी को माध्यम बनाकर स्वर्णाकर्षण देव की महिमा गायी सभी देवताओ सहित नन्दी जी ने यक्षराज श्री कुबेर जी को धनवान बनाने के लिये शिव जी से प्रश्न किया की कुबेर के खाली को भण्डार फिर से भरा दे ऐसे कोन भगवान हे तब भगवान शिव जी ने भगवति के अविनाशी धाम श्री मणिद्वीप के कोक्षाध्यक्ष श्री स्वर्णाकर्षण भैरव नाथ भगवान की महिमा और उनके वैभव का वर्णन किया और उनकी शरण में जाने को कहा था ।
फिर लक्ष्मी जी और कुबेर जी ने विशालातीर्थ (बद्रीविशाल धाम में) 3 हज़ार वर्षो तक सभी देवताओ सहित धन के देवता श्री लक्ष्मी और कुबेर जी ने भीषण तप किया तब भगवान स्वर्णाकर्षण भैरव नाथ जी ने उन्हें दर्शन देकर
श्री मणिद्वीप धाम से प्रगट होकर 4 भुजाओ से धन की वर्षा की जिससे पुनः सभी देवता श्री सम्पन्न हो गए।

स्वर्णाकर्षण भैरव काल भैरव का सात्त्विक रूप हैं, जिनकी पूजा धन प्राप्ति के लिए की जाती है। यह हमेशा पाताल में रहते हैं, जैसे सोना धरती के गर्भ में होता है। इनका प्रसाद दूध और मेवा है। यहां मदिरा-मांस सख्त वर्जित है। भैरव रात्रि के देवता माने जाते हैं।
