উয়ারী বটেশ্বরে কিছুই নেই। নরসিংদীর উয়ারি বটেশ্বর। ২৫০০ বছর পুরনো সভ্যতা।
বাংলায় জনবসতির ইতিহাস বহু পুরনো। সুপ্রাচীনকাল থেকেই এই অঞ্চলে জনবসতির কথা শুনা যায়। কিন্তু অঞ্চলটা নিচু ও প্লাবন সমভূমি হওয়ায় প্রাচীন কালের নানান চিহ্ন গুলো বেশিরভাগই ভেসে গিয়েছে। তাই শক্ত প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায় না। যেগুলো পাওয়া যায় সব ১ হাজার বা ১২০০ বছর পুরনো। তবে নরসিংদির উয়ারী বটেশ্বরে এমন কিছু জিনিস পাওয়া গিয়েছে যা প্রমাণ করে খ্রিষ্টপুর্ব ৭০০-৫০০ অব্দের মধ্যে এখানে সভ্য নগর সভ্যতা ছিলো। ছিলো দুর্গ। ধারনা করা হয় উত্তর ভারতে আর্যদের সমসাময়িক শক্তিশালী অবস্থানে ছিলো এই সভ্যতা।
সেই উয়ারি বতেশ্বরে খনন কাজ খুব একটা আগায় নি। ঘুরতে গিয়ে কি কি অভিজ্ঞতা হল, সবই দেখাব আজকে।
