Built as a grain warehouse at the end of the 18th century and a commodity exchange at the end of the 19th century, this building was transformed into a museum of contemporary art in the 21st century. The person in charge of the renovation was Tadao Ando, one of Japan's leading architects. How did Ando breathe new life into the architecture of the past?
