उत्तराखंड के पौड़ी गढ़वाल, दुगड्डा ब्लॉक में स्थित घोटा गांव का यह यात्रा व्लॉग एक हरे-भरे लेकिन वीरान होते गाँव की कहानी कहता है। इस गाँव में कई बड़े और खूबसूरत घर अब खंडहर बन चुके हैं, क्योंकि लोग पलायन कर शहरों की ओर चले गए हैं। लेकिन इस गाँव में सब्ज़ी की खेती काफी उन्नति कर रही है।

यहाँ के किसान आलू, प्याज, लहसुन, हरी सब्जियाँ उगा रहे हैं। गाँव में आम, सेब, लीची, नींबू, केला जैसे कई फलदार पेड़ हैं, और केले के पेड़ तो इतनी अधिक संख्या में हैं जितने मैंने किसी और गाँव में नहीं देखे।

गाँव में ट्रैस फार्मिंग (Terrace Farming) हो रही है, जिससे खेतों की कमी के बावजूद लोग खेती कर पा रहे हैं। हालांकि, जंगली जानवरों के कारण अन्न उत्पादन (food grain farming) लगभग असंभव हो गया है। लेकिन सब्ज़ियों की खेती गाँव में उन्नति कर रही है।

इस यात्रा के दौरान मैंने यहाँ के स्थानीय लोगों से बातचीत की, उनके अनुभव जाने और यहाँ तक कि उन्होंने मेरे लिए पारंपरिक लोकगीत भी गाए। गाँव में एक गोबर गैस प्लांट भी देखा। कुल मिलाकर, यह गाँव भले ही पलायन से प्रभावित है, लेकिन यहाँ की हरियाली और खेती देखने लायक है।

This travel vlog takes you to Ghota Village, located in Dugadda Block, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The village has seen a major exodus, with many families leaving for cities. As a result, several grand houses now stand abandoned or in ruins. However, one thing thriving in this village is vegetable farming.

Farmers here are growing potatoes, onions, garlic, and green vegetables. The village is rich in fruit trees like mango, apple, lychee, citrus fruits, and banana trees—in fact, I saw more banana trees here than in any other village!

Since wild animals destroy food grain crops, grain farming is nearly impossible here. But the villagers have adapted by practicing terrace vegetable farming, creating large green patches in front of their homes filled with fresh produce.

During my visit, I spoke to several locals, learned about their lives, and even had the chance to listen to some folk songs they sang for me. I also came across a gobar gas plant, which was quite interesting.
