When I started my screen print company the only film printer I had was a cheap Epson all-in-one printer, but I made it work. If that's all you have, then you can make it work just fine until you can afford something nicer. I made my work for 3+ years before I upgraded. When you're ready, something like the Epson Artison 1430. You should also invest in good RIP software and an all-black ink kit like the Blackmax ink kit.
