Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh โ The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) organized the Sadbhavna Pad Yatra at Rono Ground, Doimukh, emphasizing the importance of unity and cultural preservation among indigenous communities.
Dr. Emi Rumi, President of IFCSAP, addressed the gathering, urging indigenous communities to stand together in safeguarding their rich traditions and heritage. He highlighted the challenges posed by external influences and underscored the necessity of legal frameworks, such as the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (APFRA) of 1978, to protect indigenous identities.
During his speech, Dr. Rumi emphasized that cultural erosion could be prevented only through collective efforts. He encouraged people to remain deeply connected to their ancestral roots and actively participate in initiatives that promote indigenous traditions.
Advocate Pritom Taffo also addressed the gathering, echoing the sentiments of cultural preservation and legal safeguards. He called upon the youth to take an active role in preserving their heritage, reinforcing the idea that awareness and participation are key to maintaining indigenous faiths and customs.
