Kannappa is a legendary person in Telugu legend renowned for his beautiful unmatched devotion towards Lord Shiva. His legend is closely associated with the Srikalahasteeswara Temple 🪷 in Andhra Pradesh, India. According to folklore, Kannappa, a hunter, plucked out his eyes as an offering to a Shiva Lingam suffering from bleeding eyes. It was a test to measure the devotion of kannappa towards Hindu God shiva himself.
He ultimately attained moksha blessed by Shiva 🙏
