Today I did a chase of the LOB35R, a remote controlled job responsible for the switching of the extensive Mira Loma Industrial Complex, on the Dixon Spur. I saw it do a number of tasks today during the first segment of the day's switching. Power was a GP40-2 flanked by two remote controlled GP38-2s. Enjoy what this Inland Empire industrial job has to offer!
I started out in Ontario, where the power pulled out of the spot it tied down the day previously. It backed into State's Logistics to pull a cut of empty boxcars out to take along its journey. It then pulled up the spur to the Coca-Cola facility, to pull empty tanks out of it. I then lost track of the job, but i caught back up with it on the Jurupa Valley/Fontana border with additional empty coil cars from Calstrip Industries and tanks from LaVecke in Jurupa Valley, and centerbeams from Humboldt Redwood in Fontana. They then picked up empties from International Paper in Ontario, before taking their entire cut to Mira Loma Yard for interchange. Thanks for watching!
