Between 1942 and 1945, a group of Jewish children escaped the Warsaw Ghetto and survived on the Aryan side of the Nazi-occupied city. Known as the “Little Cigarette Sellers,” these orphans, aged 6 to 15, lived in ruins, cemeteries, and stairwells — selling cigarettes, newspapers, even fake vodka to survive. Some became messengers and couriers for the Polish resistance, earning medals for their bravery. Through the voices of five survivors, this documentary tells the extraordinary and heartbreaking story of children who faced war, hunger, and death with astonishing courage.
