10 DAYS IN SOUTHERN MOROCCO [Part IV.] - Via The High Atlas To Essaouira & Chilling At The Atlantic

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

From Ait Ben Haddou, we traveled directly to the Atlantic coast, to the city of Essaouira. We skipped the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech—even though we missed out on a lot of interesting sights because of that, maybe we'll make it to those areas another time. Essaouira, apart from the medina, felt somewhat like a resort to us. But we really liked its port and coastline. After two days in the city, we headed south toward our next accommodation. And in the end, we fully enjoyed the Atlantic, even catching the sunset—twice. We enjoyed Morocco so much that we're thinking of coming back again someday. Tips for activities on the west coast that we’ve experienced and recommend: ▪️ Visiting the medina, its markets, and the fish market in Essaouira (this city is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site) ▪️ Massage and hammam ▪️ Watching sunsets ▪️ Surfing (especially in winter) and other water sports ▪️ Playing with stray dogs ▪️ Buying argan oil and visiting a cooperative that produces it Our route: https://mapy.com/s/kecebunabu April 12th-16th 2025 Music: https://pixabay.com/music/world-the-breath-of-the-ancestors-258603/ https://pixabay.com/music/world-memories-of-chefchaouen-258578/ https://inaudio.org/track/arabian-pulse-ethnic/ https://inaudio.org/track/tame-your-fear/
