Busy rescue day at Pelican Point with 10 rescues in one go! Naudé stumbles upon the first seal who is fully covered in an item of clothing, Antoine finds a second seal that is caught in commercial fishing line, Roman deals with seal #3 stuck in a ratchet strap, and Denzil needs to rescue a fourth seal from gill net. The team have their hands full, but they find a fifth (another gill net) and sixth (packing strap) entangled seal, both also in need of urgent help, Antoine even gets bitten during the capture. Luckily the rescuers expect little nips and wear protective gloves, and the rescuers move on to entangled seal #7 (packaging strap) and #8 (mop head). Just as they think they are done, they capture two more animals entangled in fishing net (#9) and string (#10). As the rescuers start to "unpack" seal after seal, we can't help but wonder how and when our oceans were turned into global trash cans? 🦭 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please visit our website to find out more about our work and how to support us: ➡ Website: https://www.ocnamibia.org/ ➡ Donate via Paypal: https://ow.ly/BTm550PIavq ➡ Donate via Stripe: https://ow.ly/Xy1F50PIMzQ ➡ Support via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/OCN ➡ FAQs: https://www.ocnamibia.org/faqs Follow us on social media: ➡ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oceanconservationnamibia/ ➡ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OCNamibia ➡ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@oc_namibia ➡ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ocnamibia/ ➡ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ocnamibia 😊 Thank you for every like, share, comment and subscribe 😊 Ocean Conservation International is registered as a non-profit organisation under chapter 501(c)3.
