Maharshi Vagbhatt Short Biography Summary in Hindi -
महर्षि वाग्भट प्राचीन भारतीय चिकित्सा तथा आयुर्वेद के एक महान आचार्य थे । वे आयुर्वेद के प्रसिद्ध ग्रंथ अष्टांगसंग्रह तथा अष्टांगहृदय के रचयिता हैं। इन ग्रंथो का आयुर्वेद के क्षेत्र में काफी महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है।
अष्टांगसंग्रह के अनुसार इनका जन्म सिंधु देश में हुआ। इनके पितामह का नाम भी वाग्भट था। ये अवलोकितेश्वर गुरु के शिष्य थे। इनके पिता का नाम सिद्धगुप्त था। यह सनातन धर्म में विश्वास करते थे। इत्सिंग ने लिखा है कि उससे एक सौ वर्ष पूर्व एक व्यक्ति ने ऐसी संहिता बनाई जिसमे आयुर्वेद के आठो अंगों का समावेश था। अष्टांगहृदय का तिब्बती भाषा में अनुवाद हुआ था। आज भी अष्टांगहृदय ही ऐसा ग्रंथ है जिसका जर्मन भाषा में अनुवाद हुआ है।
