1.08 Brouwer's fixed point theorem

We use our newly-developed technology (fundamental group and induced homomorphisms) to prove Brouwer's fixed point theorem, which states that any continuous map from the 2-dimensional disc to itself has a fixed point. For notes, see here: http://www.homepages.ucl.ac.uk/~ucahjde/tg/html/pi1-08.html
