ಈ ಗುರು ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು 108 ಬಾರಿ ಕೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಜಪಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಲಾಭವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಠಣವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಹ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೇಳುವಿಕೆಯು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪುರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ "ಶ್ರವಣ ಮಂಗಳಂ" ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರರ್ಥ ಕೇಳುವಿಕೆಯು ನಿಮಗೆ ಶುಭವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಭಕ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತತೆ , ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ತುಂಬುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾದ 'ಶ್ರೀ ಅಪ್ಪಣಾಚಾರ್ಯರು' ಬರೆದರು.(ಶ್ರೀ ಅಪ್ಪಣಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾಸಮಾಧಿ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯಲು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ದಾಟಿದರು ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಮಹಾನ್ ಗುರುಭಕ್ತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.) ಅವರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಗಳು ಜಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವ ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರ ಆಸೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಈ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸೋಣ.
Listening of this Guru Mantra 108 times benefits you almost same as chanting it yourself . Chanting improves your body and soul. Where as listening improves specially your mind. That is why It is mentioned in our puranas "SHRAVANA MANGALAM". It means listening brings you auspiciousness. It instills calmness , confidence and courage in a devotee..
This mantra was written by Guru Raghavendra's famous disciple 'Shri Appanacharya'. (It is believed that Shri Appanacharya had crossed the flooded River Tungabhadra easily by reciting the stotra of Raghavendra to have a glimpse of his Guru Raghavendra before his Maha Samadhi stage. He had got such a great Guru bhakti.) The following stotra developed by him is still chanted by millions of Raghavendra followers. Shri Raghavendra fulfills the desires of his devotees who sincerely pray to him. Hence let us chant this Mantra to get his divine grace.
