Seeking God’s Guidance: Proverbs 2:1-5 instructs us, “My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, if you call out for discernment, and lift your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”
Mutual Support and Encouragement: Galatians 6:2 encourages us, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Faith Expressed Through Action: James 2:14-17 reminds us, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters if someone says he has faith but his actions do not demonstrate it? Can that faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
And one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, stay warm and well fed,’ but does not meet their bodily needs, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not produce works, is dead.”

Who tends a flock and does not get his share of the milk? What worldly analogy do we use? Does not the Law say the same? For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned? Or does he not speak for our benefit? Now this was written for our sake. For the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing in the produce.”
