Basically, in #school we are taught orthodox #history, but there are always people who dig deeply into other sources and find interesting #facts related to this #science in general. Is it true that the oldest book in the world was found near Sofia, and is it true that the Bulgarians were the first to make a country in the world. Today I will tell you about 11 bolder hypotheses about the history and lands of #Bulgaria in general. We will see where our ancestors came from and how we got here. Let's get started. A controversial text called "Jagfar Tarikh" or "The History of Jagfar" claims that the first human civilization on the planet was created by Bulgarians as early as 15,000 years ago.
According to some, a term such as "proto-Bulgarians" does not exist, or if there were, they were a small subdivision or ethnic group of the Bulgarians. Theophanes the Confessor and Bishop Magnus Felix Enodius of the 5th century officially used the term "Bulgarians" to describe a group of people, even before the establishment of the Bulgarian state in 681. Actually, the word #прабулгари according to some was introduced by the Russian historian Lomonosov in the 18th century. It describes a group of nomadic tribes that migrated from the Eurasian steppe. However, such a concept is not present in the older chronicles. For this reason, some historians believe that "proto-Bulgarians" is a "term" of current science and is not an accurate representation of historical information.
After Balhara in today's Afghanistan, the Bulgarians continued west and began to settle in an area north of the Black Sea, in the territory of today's Ukraine. Here we already have more serious information and documents in the form of the "Name Book of Bulgarian Khans", which talks about the mythical Avitohol, the first of the Khan list. It is not known exactly when Old Great Bulgaria was founded, but it is believed that it happened in 170 AD, and we have the most data about it when Kubrat took the lead in the 630s. Now we enter here with the hypothesis that there were no Thracians, but all here were Bulgarians, similar to the autochthonous theory. This statement faces some difficulties, but I say there are also supporters. The Besi tribe inhabited an ancient Thracian settlement centered on Besapara.
Have you heard about the "Golden Orphic Book", which was discovered near Sofia and today is kept in the National History Museum. This unique artifact is considered by some to be the most mysterious and ancient book ever found, but is currently only partially confirmed. The book consists of six pages measuring 5 by 4.5 cm, covered with 24 carat gold and written in Etruscan script. Its discovery should have opened up new avenues of research and study, but unfortunately the Etruscan still cannot be deciphered.
