“The Facts of Life," an American television sitcom created by Dick Clair and Jenna McMahon, aired on NBC from August 24, 1979, to May 7, 1988, making it one of the 1980s' longest-running sitcoms. This spin-off of "Diff'rent Strokes" centers on Edna Garrett, portrayed by Charlotte Rae, who initially serves as a housemother and later as a nutritionist at Eastland School, an all-girls boarding school in Peekskill, New York. The show gained significant popularity, ranking among the top 10 shows in a survey of 2200 American teens. Over its nine-season run, "The Facts of Life" featured future stars like George Clooney, Molly Ringwald, Mackenzie Astin, and Cloris Leachman, all of whom continue to have active careers.
