At the age of 15, Juniha longed to become a maiko (apprentice geisha) in Kyoto. After graduating from junior high school, she went straight to Kyoto. She made a successful debut as a maiko, but her career gradually fell into disarray. Her senior maiko, whom she looked up to, left. Then came the Covid pandemic. People disappeared from the streets of Kyoto, and training sessions were suspended. She spends her days alone in her room... Will she continue on her quest to become a geisha?
