In this wide open adventure, Wrecker Rick and the one and only Mrs. Wrecker Rick set out across the great western United States of America. Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Just kidding. We set out to help this unfortunate trucker. A trucking company out of Phoenix Arizona was down on his luck. His engine blew up in Tonopah Nevada and he was towed to the NDOT yard. It just had a $30,000 overhaul and less than 10,000 miles on it. His brother, Jake, reached out to us on Instagram in desperation as Murphys Diesel was his last hope to rescue his brother’s disabled freightliner. Luckily, Mrs. Wrecker Rick checks most of the social media messages and brought it to Wrecker Rick’s attention immediately. Wrecker Rick decided to do him one better. Not only would he rescue the tractor and trailer, but he would also deliver the cargo to Portland Oregon. While Wrecker Rick and the Mrs. are on this epic rescue, the Murphys Diesel crew back in Arizona had some heavy rescues of their own. As we near the end of the journey, meet Heavy D (the truck owner) and his brother Jake (the one who reached out on a last hope) and hear their story.
