Aromanticism is not widely understood outside of aromantic circles, but having vocabulary available to encapsulate our experiences can, for some, allow ourselves better self-understanding and a sense of belonging amongst those with similar experiences. Aromantic people, regardless of where we fall on the aro-spectrum or how we experience aromanticism, live in contradiction to amatonormativity, and we can unite around an unconventional relationship with romance and romantic attraction, whether we are greyromantic, cupioromantic, arospike, allo/aro, demiromantic, or a loveless aro.
