Lord Indra has sovereignty over Jyestha. He is the eldest son of Goddess Aditi and Sage Kashyap. He is all powerful, bold, strong, fearless, mighty, and is known to possess a 1000 powers, He is best known for slaying Vrtra, a demon, with Vajra, a thunderbolt - which is his preferred weapon. He's widely celebrated in the Rig Veda as the destroyer of evil. His “no-mercy” policy on the battlefield makes him a brutal force and his heroics of the defeating the most demonic of demons bears testimony of his invincibility. For such conquests, he’s given the title of the King of the heavens.
