Our 18 Months Timelapse Restoring & Renovating Our Derelict Irish Farmhouse showcases the highlights of the past 1.5 years, 3 months of which were spent sleeping in a tent and 6 months spent showering outside from June - January.
We have never renovated or restore a property before let alone a solid stone built farmhouse which had been derelict for 15+ years.
Things start slowly in preparation for replacing rotten floorboards and rotting joists before starting to slowly turn this old empty house into our home. Our dream home in rural Ireland.
Being complete beginners at farmhouse renovation, really needing a "homesteading for beginners" guide and now starting amateur archaeology, we are taking it slowly, enjoying everything we do no matter how hard it is, to one day realise our dream of running a fully functioning homestead from our once derelict Irish Farmhouse.
