1924 Chelsea Model 107 Early Version Restoration

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In April of 1924 Chelsea introduced the Model 107 regenerative receiver. They took a previous Receiver / Amplifier pair and consolidated it all into one cabinet. This highly sophisticated 4-tube regen performs well once restored and is predecessor to the slant faced later version that was introduced a few months later. Some of the challenges faced in this restoration includes the repair of several coils, coming up with Rheostats that match the missing ones, and a case repair due to damage. This model was used in the Gimbel's ZR-2, which is a model 107 mounted in a cabinet with a speaker.
