Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this torch restoration video, I am restoring an antique Turner 206A gasoline blow torch. The Turner Brass Works produced this model over many decades, which made it challenging to identify the exact year. My best guess, based on the wooden handle and the shape the sticker left on the fuel tank, is that it is from the mid-1940's to the early 1950's. If you know more information on these, please leave a comment below. This was a challenging restoration, and many parts gave me trouble. I was able to get help from a local machine shop, Sun Tools. They were extremely friendly and allowed me to watch and help the part being turned. Can't wait until I get my lathe in my shop! But check these guys out! They were filling an order for a large workout equipment company when I was there. They do amazing work. https://www.suntoolco.com/about-us I was a bit nervous about firing this up. Everywhere I looked online showed some awful stories about catastrophic failure. So I really took my time a triple checked everything...twice. If you decide to work on one of these, please be extremely careful, the slightest error can be hazardous. 0:01 Torch Reveal 0:04 Before Shots of Torch 0:23 Broken Pressure Pump 0:27 Disassembling Turner Torch 4:35 Overview of disassembled parts 4:58 Parts Washer 5:11 Cleaning Brass and Removing Patina - Vinegar Biscuits 5:31 Replacing Broken Torch Neck - Lathe Work 5:52 Sanding and Polishing Brass Torch Neck 6:01 Threading Torch Neck for Filter Extension 6:10 Sanding and Polishing Brass Filter Extension 6:21 Cleaning Fuel Tray 6:24 Straightening Bent Fuel Tray 6:36 Filing Fuel Tray 6:40 Sanding and Polishing Fuel Tray 6:47 Cleaning Torch Head 6:51 Filing and Sanding Torch Head 7:10 Polishing Torch Head 7:17 Sanding and Polishing Screws 7:44 Sandblasting Top Shield 7:51 Sanding Top Shield 7:57 Polishing Top Shield 8:00 Filing Top Hook 8:06 Sanding Top Hook 8:09 Polishing Top Hook 8:13 Sanding and Polishing Valve Nut 8:28 Sanding Valve Handle and Shaft 8:42 Making Valve Handle Button 9:09 Polishing Valve Handle 9:15 Sanding Nut from Pump Seal 9:20 Sanding Form Disc for Pump Seal 9:27 Replacing and Making Leather Gasket 9:38 Soaking Leather Gasket in Mink Oil 9:42 Making Form Die for Leather Gasket 10:00 Sanding and Polishing Pump Handle 10:26 Fixing Bent Spring 10:33 Sanding and Polishing Pump Cap 10:48 Sanding and Polishing Pump Body 11:12 Sanding and Polishing Check Valve Cap 11:22 Replacing Damaged Check Valve 11:42 Sandblasting Bottom of Tank 11:52 Cleaning Inside of Fuel Tank 12:17 Sanding and Polishing Brass Fuel Tank 12:35 Painting Bottom of Tank with Enamel Paint 12:43 Filing and Sanding Fuel Tank Plug 13:02 Removing Lead Gasket on Tank Plug 13:11 Countersink and Polish Tank Plug 13:19 Fixing Broken Handle Screws 13:50 Sanding and Painting Wooden Handle 13:57 Recreating Turner Logo in Photoshop 14:35 Restored Disassemble Parts Overview 15:11 Assembly 17:42 Final Reveal 17:45 Before and After Shots 18:30 Testing and Lighting the Torch I hope you enjoy the video, and please subscribe!
