Made in the 1960s, this travelogue of New Zealand entitled "New Zealand Splendor" shows the nation during the early jet age, when the airplane changed how the world interacted with the island nation. The film shows the country's beautiful scenery, and commerce. Wellington is seen at the 1:25 mark, and Auckland . Maori tribesmen and the Polynesian culture is highlighted, as are the natural wonders of the country including mud pots and geysers. Mt. Cook is seen at the 5 minute mark, and skiing footage appears right afterwards. A charter aircraft is seen flying over the snow capped mountains and glaciers.
