1969's Zombie Sleepwalker ft. dancer, Fuji | Can she handle it?

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

One of my favorite things to do on the show is to make cocktails from obscure vintage recipe books. In this episode, we take a look at the Okole Maluna book from 1969. Now the late 1960's and 1970's were a bad time for tropical cocktails; Overly sweet syrups, questionable proportions, and mostly garbage rum. This zombie recipe comes right from that era. Join my dancer/ model friend, Fuji, as we battle the Zombie Sleepwalker from 1969. To make the the drink in the video you will need: -------------------------------------- 1/2oz fresh lime juice 1 dash (?) papaya juice 4 dashes (?) cherry brandy 4 dashes (?) apricot brandy 1oz dark rum 1oz 'Jamaica' rum 1oz light rum -------------------------------------- "Pour this atomic fluid into a tall glass filled with cracked ice. Top it with 1/2oz of 150 proof rum. Stir lightly. Decorate with cherry and slice of orange, serve with long straw. A lot of work, but guaranteed to put you in the land of the sleepwalkers after three drinks." -------------------------------------- FOLLOW Fuji on IG @karenfujimoto BOOK yourself on Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Cruise: http://www.vacaydreams.com/group/spike BUY Breezeway glassware and swizzles here: https://bit.ly/breezeway_store BUY straws from Surfside Sips (ENTER coupon code BREEZEWAY): https://bit.ly/SurfsideSips BUY bar tools from A Bar Above (ENTER coupon code BREEZEWAY): https://bit.ly/aBarAbove JOIN our PATREON account: https://bit.ly/breezewaycocktailhour SUBSCRIBE to our channel! www.youtube.com/thehulagirls Follow Spike on IG @thehulagirls WORK with Spike on a brand deal: [email protected] Theme music by the Black Flamingos, courtesy of Hi-Tide Recordings http://hitideshop.com
